DAWID GĄSIOROWSKI LEVEL DESIGN PORTFOLIO

The Adventure Game Level

This project was part of Level Design course in SKVOT.
During it, I learned a lot about the Unreal Engine itself, as well as level design as a whole.
It is also a part of an 8th LD jam hosted by Steve Lee, since the level fit the theme of special place, which was one of the themes available to choose for the projects.

Terminus Vertigo

This Level was part of a map jam hosted by Quake Mapping Community.
It was made for a Quake mod named MALICE, a cyberpunk total conversion with new enemies and weapons. It was actually my very first, fully completed project related to level design, outside the steam workshop. Tool usead to create this map is called Trenchbroom. A very powerful brush editor, compatible with a lot of games.

Forgotten Dreams

Another level made for a map jam hosted by Quake Mapping Community.
This time the theme was liminal spaces, which I took as an opportunity to make a map absent of combat. It was an absolute maze, full of teleports wraping the map around onto itself, making it difficult to navigate. In hindsight I should have made the way clearer, but I really wanted to make the player feel lost in this space.

Factoryal

Yet again, a map made for a jam hosted by Quake Mapping Community.
The theme this time was quite simple, issue was I really had a hard time finding motivation to do it, but fortunately, I persevered. I must say, out of all the maps I made for these events, I like this one the most, simply because it is short and not overly complicated. This is definitely something I need to do more of.
